Homemade Paneer (Cottage Cheese)

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) is a very versatile ingredient. Paneer is Used for making many sweet or savoury recipes. It is a high protein food which is good for health also. To many people it seems to be hard, but it is very easy to make paneer which requires only a few ingredients. I have given a video of the process of making soft and fresh paneer.

Basic Ingredients

Cooking Method :   

1liter Full Cream Milk

1tbsp Vinegar

Method –

Boil 1 liter milk, stirring continuously so that layer of cream does not form on the top.

Switch off the flame and add a cup of water for decreasing the temperature.

Add vinegar gradually and stir gently.

Milk will start to curdle and separate.

Place a clean muslin cloth over strainer in another big vessel and sieve curdled milk into it to remove the whey separated.

Immediately wash it under running tap water.

Now take the muslin cloth from the strainer and place it on a sieve plate.

Fold the cloth tightly from all the sides and place a heavy object over it for 30-40 minutes.
